WHO IS CHRIS NUDDS?
Cristopher Nudds is a man who has been the victim of a terrible miscarriage of justice. He has been convicted of the murder of a gypsy who is alleged to have gone missing from home, and whilst his body has never been found, has been treated as a murder victim. Chris was arrested six days after Fred was reported missing, after finding his abandoned vehicle. He was subsequently charged with his murder, tried, convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term to serve of 30 years.
Chris Nudds's life before being confined to a prison cell consisted of taking each day as it came. He made a living breeding Labrador dogs and running a small pest control business, at which, he was most successful. Chris enjoys his own company and the solitude that living a country lifestyle affords. He has many friends, most of whom continue to support him and write to him frequently. His social life came from his love of the countryside and participation in country sports. He very rarely drank alcohol, he did not smoke and he has never taken drugs.
He has been featured on BBC Look East with an article about pest control, where he explained his work as a mole catcher.
Another mention of him in the media was when he caught a 'big cat' in a trap he had set as part of his job as a pest controller.
Chris Nudds has also had a lot of negative media attention, much of it surrounding this case, but some regarding the killing of Colonel Riley Workman, a retired army officer, who lived in a village a few miles away from Chris's home address. He has always strenuously denied having any involvement in this incident and whilst he was interviewed by the police, there was nothing to connect Chris to this killing and no charges were ever bought against him.
Chris Nudds and Fred Moss were friends, although they never socialized together. Chris described Fred as being like a brother to him. They regularly went hare coursing together and Chris looked after Fred and his family's dogs when Fred was working in France through the summer months.
